Biography: Steven Pliszka, M.D. graduated from his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency in 1986. He has been a member of the UTHSCSA Department of Psychiatry faculty since then. His research interest is in clinical trials of psychotropic medication for children and adolescents and neuroimaging of ADHD. Dr. Pliszka is currently studying the effects of atomoxetine on functional MRI measures in children with ADHD. His current research is funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health and Eli Lilly and Company.
