Biography: Dr. Miller graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Residency
in 1976 and completed an NIH Fellowship in Neurochemistry in 1973. He has been a member of the UTHSCSA Department of Psychiatry faculty since 1980. His research interests
are in schizophrenia, and in developing and testing medication management programs for the major mental illnesses. His research has been funded by the NIMH, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Social Security Administration, and a number of pharmaceutical companies.

Associate Professor, Co-Director of the Division of Schizophrenia and Related Disorders.
Biography: Dr. Velligan graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998 with a degree in Clinical Psychology. She has been a member of the UTHSCSA Department of Psychiatry since 1995 and is the current Co-Director of the Division of Schizophrenia and Related Disorders. Her research interests include cognitive deficits and negative symptoms associated with schizophrenia, functional outcomes, and psychosocial interventions to improve functional outcomes for individuals with this illness. An additional research focus is on adherence to oral antipsychotic medications for individuals living in the community. Her research is funded by NIH support, NARSAD support and industry sponsored clinical trial research.
