To identify and understand the key genes involved in the phenotype of individuals with 18q deletions and to devise treatments for these individuals. We perform comprehensive clinical and neuropsychological evaluations with an emphasis on the endocrine evaluation. The molecular assessment of individuals with deletions of 18q is correlated with these findings. In addition, we perform these studies longitudinally in order to understand the natural history of the syndrome and to assess the affects of growth hormone treatment for these individuals. |
