Victoria Rodriguez was born and raised in the metropolitan area of Detroit, Michigan. She attended Western Michigan University and majored in psychology and sociology before joining the United States Army. She served as a laboratory technician in the Army and conducted biomedical research at Letterman and Walter Reed Army Institutes of Research. After attending the Advanced Medical Laboratory Course, she served as an instructor for the microbiology section of the course at the AMEDD Center and School, Ft Sam Houston. She then attended UTHSCSA School of Nursing for her BSN and worked as a medicalsurgical nurse and in the CCU at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). After retiring, Victoria became involved in clinical trials research, working as a nurse coordinator at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital, and BAMC. She also worked at the Southern Regional Medical Command as part of a team tasked to develop a telemedicine outreach for the Behavioral Health and Traumatic Brain Injury programs throughout the region. In 2010 she decided to become a behavioral health provider and earned an MSN in May 2012 as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is married to Antonio Rodriguez and has one son.
